What is a Laminar Air Flow?

Alpha Linear’s Laminar Flow Cabinets provide an enclosed, ventilated sterile work-area for performing tests, experimental procedures and analysis with non-hazardous samples.

Equipped with HEPA filter, the laminar airflow cabinet eliminates airborne particulate matter (up to 0.3 micros in diameter) to maintain Class 5 conditions as per ISO 14644-1 to provide absolute product/sample protection during normal operations. In general, laminar flow cabinets purge the work-area of any suspended inert dust and microbiological particles that could potentially prove to be detrimental to contamination sensitive procedures.

Alpha Linear’s laminar flow cabinets find applications in plant tissue culture laboratories, food and water testing laboratories, microelectronics, medical device assemblies, IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) and other animal and human Assisted Reproductive (ART) facilities.
